Music is the universal language of our souls. It gives wing to the mind and flight to the imagination. It takes more than just years of hard work and extensive training because the true form of music comes from passion and dedication for the art. Some of the biggest pioneers of the field dedicated their entire lives towards their love for music and thus aced the art of this higher revelation. One such individual who has caused a stir in the music community around the world, is the immensely talented Vladimir Tiagunov.
Born in 1989 in the formerly USSR city of Temirtau, Vladimir Borisovich Tiagunov fell in love with music at the tender age of six when his piano-enthusiast engineer father introduced him to the majestic melodies of music. And since then, there has been no looking back! He was a student of the Children's Music School No. 5, Nizhny Tagil and delivered his first solo recital at the age of nine. He was accepted into the esteemed Chelyabinsk State Academy of Culture and Arts, Russia, and soon Tiagunov got his Master's Degree with Honors. Later in 2014, he moved to the USA and was selected for the Artist Diploma program at the Long Island Conservatory of Music, Albertson, New York under the coveted tutelage of Tamara Poddubnaya.
"Music is like food for my soul. It's a language that doesn't need words to convey our feelings. Music expresses our deepest and heartfelt emotions in a way that words cannot comprehend," says the young pianist whose music was his strongest connection in a foreign land. His soulful pieces have stirred so much emotion in the world of music lovers that he has become one of the most revered artists globally. Inspired by the classical legends such as Beethoven, Chopin, and Schubert, Tiagunov started off in their footprints with his immense love and appreciation towards classical music. Using his divine love for music as a way to tell beautiful, poetic things, he has performed solo as well as chamber concerts across Russia, Ukraine, Germany, Spain, Poland, and the United States of America.
Over a very short period of time Vladimir Tiagunov has received quite a few accolades and honors. His vast reservoir of talent has landed him a place as a piano professor at the Long Island Conservatory, tutoring budding musicians and shaping their careers. As an active concert pianist, he has to balance his commitments towards his students alongside his own performances, all while frequently organizing several student recitals as well. He has tutored a number of brilliant pianists, among whom there are several Laureates of Piano Competitions. Along with that, he also serves as a jury member at several prestigious international music competitions.
The life of Vladimir Tiagunov is a living proof of how passion and dedication goes a long way, just with a little bit of encouragement from parents. Instead of expecting children to walk the trodden paths, if parents choose to believe and encourage their wards can carve themselves a substantial place in the world. All while rising to the peak of brilliance in whatever career they choose.
